Who we are
BalticHemp is a forward-looking biotech company focused on maximizing the value of industrial hemp stalks – an underutilized, renewable resource. Our mission is to build an industrial, climate-positive platform that merges innovation, sustainability, and economic impact. We don’t grow hemp – we turn it into value. We’re just getting started, but our ambition is global.
What we do
We focus on upcycling industrial hemp stalks into high-value materials. While others discard it as waste, we turn it into opportunity: - We produce eco-friendly plant fiber, suitable for textiles, composites, and biodegradable products. - We develop high-purity biochar through an automated pyrolysis unit. Our aim is to achieve EBC (European Biochar Certificate) certification to ensure climate-positive and clean output. Our process is built for automation and scalability, making us a strong player in both local and international markets.
What we solve
The world is facing a dual crisis: soil degradation and rising carbon emissions. Traditional farming and wasteful biomass practices have left millions of hectares of land depleted. BalticHemp addresses this by transforming unused hemp stalks into high-grade biochar — a carbon-rich soil amendment that restores soil health and locks carbon away for centuries. Unlike ordinary wood-based charcoal, hemp biochar has a superior microstructure and nutrient profile, allowing it to retain moisture, support microbial life, and enrich the soil long-term. It’s not just carbon removal — it’s climate-smart agriculture.
